Joseph is just finishing up with his freshman track season and has done really well. He runs distance events, mostly the 1500 and 3000. Track districts are next week and then he's done. Why anyone would want to run that far with no big prize at the end
Michael has been playing soccer for a neighboring school and has two weeks left. Both him and Joseph are getting ready to take life guarding classes in order to work at the local pool this summer. I drove him to a game today (2 1/2 hours EACH way) and he is sportin' a really wicked, nasty, oozing turf burn on his leg. Not yummy. He was nominated and ran for All Student Body Treasurer. I wrote his speech while I was in the shower
Timothy has been playing soccer too, for a team in a neighboring town. He's scored twice from the defensive position. Both times he had eaten a certain sandwich right before the game and he's now convinced that is why he scored. He's gearing up to start his Eagle project and is looking forward to school being out for the summer. Can't believe that he will be a freshman in the fall!
Joshua is also playing soccer in a nearby town and he has fast become my garage sale/dumpster diving/Goodwill hunting buddy. He has attached a hook to the end of a walking stick in order to better dig through the GW dumpster. I'm so proud. sniff...sniff...
Elizabeth is playing softball and is so completely into fashion that I'm wondering whose daughter she really is. It's all about the girl drama...all the time. sigh...
Matthew was standing to close to the handlebars on Liz's bike today and his nose took a hit. Luckily, Corey was here and just super glued the chuck back on.
Hannah, aka the crayon bandit, is driving me nuts with her artwork. All. over.
Levi has come out of the dreaded 3's and is the best little boy ever. I just love that kid.
Lily has a shoe fetish. She is so my girl.
Boo is doing wonderful. Here is his mug shot from the Animal Regulation place that we adopted him from.
Doesn't he look like a big dork?
He fits right in around here.
I don't do inside animals, only inside kids, but here he is in the garage bathroom sink.
Here is my beautiful mother. She is just as beautiful on the inside too.
Since the five older kids are on five different teams (six starting on Monday) she has saved our bacon countless times. My kids have always had someone at each and every one of their games/meets.
Love you Mom!
As for me, I'm coping. I haven't said much before now but I'm having some issues. The short version is...for over a year now, I've had a rib out of place. It has messed up a bunch of muscles in my back and neck which have caused more problems. It is very painful. Because I waited so long to have it fixed...it won't stay in place. It is sucking the life out of me. The last couple of months have been the worst.
Sorry if I've seemed distant or anti-social, it's just that I'm wiped out a lot and pretty grumpy. I stay away for your sakes, promise. I
**crosses fingers**
Corey's been working, some away and some at home. He's a saint and is really taking good care of me.
That's it in
Have a happy weekend!

Love the crazy, busy adventures of your crew. I so hope your rib plays nice from now on .... Good luck!
Can they fix your rib? Sounds excruciating! Hope it can heal or you at least can rest enough to allow it to heal. Your type A, will completely not allow you to rest! Your new kitty, in the first pic, looks like Binx from Hocus Pocus! Get better soon!!
I'm exhausted from reading your post! What a good Mama you are. Feel better soon.
I feel dizzy just reading all that you have going on! You are doing a great job of keeping up with your family, even in your condition - and I'm sure MY opinion means so much since we have never met or anything :) But you are committed to your family, and that does shine through in your writing, and the fact that you know where all nine of your children are and are supposed to be is miraculous in and of itself! Prayers for healing!!
OUCH! I'm sorry about your rib. Dang it. That's no fun.
It was nice seeing Corey and Michael (Michael, right??) at the soccer game the other night. Man alive, those boys are growing up FAST.
To answer your question about curb shopping, I only WISH we had that kind of stuff around here!! If you ever figure out a place and a time... let me know. :)
Love ya!
Holy cow, lady....life has been crazy busy! Hope your rib starts to feel better soon.
One of these days I need to ask your professional decorating opinion of a huge wall in our house that I have no idea what to do with. You always come up with the coolest thing and this wall is driving me crazy!
